Music Camps

Below is an overview of the Summer Music Camps we are offering this year. All camps will be held at the Gardner home.

Space is limited so signup below! A $25 deposit is required to hold your spot but that payment will go toward the total camp fee.

 

         Music of the World

July 8-11, M-Th from 10am-noon   $50/student ($35 each additional sibling)
 
A student favorite! The goal of this camp is to increase the students’ awareness of and appreciation for cultures that are different from their own – through experiencing the music and studying the instruments of other countries.  Students will have a blast hearing the music from other cultures and learning about each countries’ musical instruments, landmarks, and animals. Each day of camp, students will travel to a different country around the world — and they will collect stamps in their passports to prove it! For students ages 5-14. No previous musical background necessary.

 

Themes and Variations USA

MusicPlay

July 15-18, M-Th from 10am-noon   $50/student ($35 each additional sibling) 
 
We'll explore the world of music through singing, playing instruments, and dancing. Students will interact as a group while we learn the basics of rhythm, melody, and dynamic vocabulary. We'll be using the MusicPlay curriculum PreK level, and each day will include a craft and a snack. For potty-trained students ages 3-5. No musical background necessary.


      

So, You Want To Be A Composer?

July 22-25, M-Th from 10am-noon   $50/student ($35 each additional sibling) 
 
Throughout this camp, students will experience the joy of creation while composing their own music: from the energy of the initial creative urge, following the path of their personal inspiration, then settling it all into a captured vision. By the end of the week, each student will take home an illustrated copy of their composition, printed using professional music notation software. In addition to individual work, students will get to take part in group-based improvisation and composition throughout the week. For students ages 9-14. Some musical background necessary.

If you want to register for a class but the listed time doesn't work for you, let us know in the comments section. We will try to accommodate everyone and even add extra classes depending on interest.
